Independent game studio · Spitalfields, London

We stitch strange worlds together, one relic at a time.

RogueRelicWorks is a small East London studio building narrative-driven games with hand-crafted art, tactile mechanics, and a scrapbook full of half-finished ideas we keep pinning to the wall.

What we make

Studio services, cover to cover

Three ways teams work with us — from a full ground-up production to slotting our artists straight into your pipeline.

Concept sketches and prototype screens for a full game production
01

Full-Cycle Game Production

6–14 month builds · from £48,000

From a one-page concept doc through to a launch build on PC and console. You get a dedicated pod of designers, engineers and artists, fortnightly playable milestones, and a Friday demo you can actually put a controller in front of.

Engineers pair-programming gameplay systems in an engine editor
02

Unity & Unreal Co-Development

3-month minimum · from £9,500 / month

When your team is close but stretched, we embed alongside you. Shared repos, daily stand-ups on your time zone, and senior engineers who write gameplay code you would happily merge without a second look.

03

Game Art & Animation

4–8 week sprints · from £6,200

Characters, environments, UI and VFX with a distinct hand-made finish. We deliver rigged, engine-ready assets in 4-to-8 week sprints, complete with a style bible so the look holds up long after we hand over.

The people

Nine humans, one very full corkboard

A tight team of designers, engineers and artists who have shipped on Steam, Switch and mobile — and who still argue about the perfect jump arc.

Good questions

Before you email us

With a call and a short discovery week. We read your brief, prototype the riskiest mechanic, and come back with a scope, timeline and fixed milestone plan. You own everything we make together, IP included, from day one.

Mostly Unity and Unreal, with Godot for smaller experiments. We ship to Steam, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile. If you already have a codebase, our co-development pod plugs straight into it.

Yes, and we do it more often than you would think. We start with a two-week code and content audit so there are no nasty surprises, then agree a stabilisation plan before touching a single feature.

Art sprints start around £6,200 and co-development from £9,500 a month. Full productions usually land between £48,000 and the mid six figures depending on scope. We are happy to shape the work to fit a fixed budget.

We keep an open list for contract artists and gameplay engineers. Our Hanbury Street studio is open to visitors Tuesday to Thursday, 10:00–17:00 — just email ahead so we can put the kettle on.
